Microsoft Office for GovernmentCrow Canyon Software, a leader in business applications and workflow creation for Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, and Office 365, drives further adoption of Microsoft Office for government agencies with the release of its Digital Workplace for Government.

Crow Canyon’s Digital Workplace runs in Microsoft Office 365 and Teams and is fully configured for Microsoft’s Government Community Cloud (GCC). It also runs in SharePoint 2013, 2016, and 2019 for government entities using SharePoint on-premises.

The GCC is Microsoft’s version of Office 365 specifically geared to government agencies in the United States. Many US government entities – whether Federal, State, County, City, or a quasi-government agency – use the GCC. Other agencies are using SharePoint on-premises for security or regulatory reasons.

Now, with Crow Canyon’s Digital Workplace, these important public agencies will be able to use SharePoint, Office 365 and Teams to drive efficiency, upgrade operations, and better serve their constituents.

Digital Workplace Includes Business Applications and NITRO Studio

As part of its Digital Workplace for Government, Crow Canyon offers a set of business applications that optimize core functions. These include Help Desk, Asset Management, Purchasing, Contract & Document Management, and HR needs such as Onboarding and Leave Requests. With these applications, which can be used singly or in combination, governments can modernize and systemize processes, thereby reducing costs and improving service.

In addition, the Digital Workplace solution includes Crow Canyon’s NITRO Studio forms and workflow creation platform. This tool, which is in widespread use around the world, allows power users to create forms and build workflows that meet specific government requirements. Organizations, whether government or not, use it to automate business processes and to replace outdated, legacy solutions such as InfoPath forms, SharePoint workflows, Access forms, and Lotus Notes.

Using Microsoft Teams and Bots to Bring Efficiency

Crow Canyon Software’s Digital Workplace is also fully integrated into Microsoft Teams. The Digital Workplace does not require Teams since it can be used entirely from SharePoint, but if Teams is in use, users and staff can work in Teams to accomplish most business functions.

Teams can be used to create, view, and update requests as well as for routing, task assignment, and approvals. Teams channels and web pages can be utilized to further enhance the Teams experience. NITRO Studio workflows fully interact with Teams, with the ability to post adaptive cards, send messages, and create and update channels.

Bots can also be deployed to engage end users. The bots bring a friendly, conversational interface to the applications and provide direct answers and guidance without involving staff. The bots are available 24×7 (they don’t take vacations!) and greatly enhance the agency’s ability to get users the answers they need when they need them.

Crow Canyon also provides a bot monitoring capability that guides the staff on how to further improve the bot, both in the knowledge it provides and in the user experience.

Modernize and Improve Service with Crow Canyon Software

Crow Canyon’s business applications and its NITRO Studio give government agencies a powerful, yet affordable, set of tools to improve and modernize service bringing Microsoft Office for government with ease. Many agencies are already using Crow Canyon’s software to streamline operations and bring modern, cloud-based, mobile-friendly capabilities to their employees.

The elements of the Digital Workplace –the business applications, NITRO Studio, Teams Integration, and Bots – can be used in any combination. Some organizations are simply looking to optimize one area, such as HR or IT functions; others may need to replace InfoPath or other legacy forms solutions; and others want to dive right in and institute modernization throughout the agency or department. Crow Canyon’s Digital Workplace for Government can be deployed effectively in any of these scenarios.

All of Crow Canyon’s products work fully in the GCC (as well as the commercial Office 365, of course). Also, these products run on SharePoint 2013, 2016, and 2019 on-premises versions.
